Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
In plain English: we collect the data we need to run your account, take payment, answer your enquiries, and improve our site. We do not sell your personal information. You have rights over your data, and you can contact us any time to use them. Cookies are covered separately in our Cookie Policy.
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Automate Horizon (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit automatehorizon.com, enquire with us, or subscribe to our services (collectively, the “Website” and “Services”).
For the purposes of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, Automate Horizon is the data controller of the personal information described in this Policy. You can reach us using the details in the Contact section below.
2. Scope of This Policy
This Policy covers personal information we handle as a business about our visitors, enquirers, and subscribers. It does not cover:
- Cookies and similar technologies, which are explained in our Cookie Policy.
- Data collected by our subscribers’ own websites. Where we host a creator’s site, we act as a data processor for the visitor data that site collects, and the creator is the controller. That relationship is governed by our Terms of Service.
- How we secure our infrastructure, which is described in our Security & Compliance page.
3. Information We Collect
- Account and subscriber information: name, email address, business or creator name, billing details, and the configuration choices you make when you subscribe.
- Payment information: payments are processed by CCBill, LLC. We do not store full card numbers. We receive limited transaction information from CCBill, such as confirmation of payment, the last digits of a card, and billing status.
- Enquiry and communication data: information you give us through booking forms, contact forms, email, phone, or chat, including the content of those communications.
- Usage data: technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, and how you interact with the Website. Some of this is collected through cookies, as described in our Cookie Policy.
4. How We Use Your Information and Our Legal Bases
Under the UK and EU GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
- To provide and manage your subscription and Services (legal basis: performance of a contract).
- To take payment and prevent fraud (legal basis: performance of a contract and our legitimate interests).
- To respond to enquiries and provide support (legal basis: legitimate interests, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract).
- To improve our Website and Services and understand how they are used (legal basis: legitimate interests, and consent for non-essential analytics cookies).
- To send marketing communications where you have asked to hear from us or where permitted by law (legal basis: consent or legitimate interests).
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations (legal basis: legal obligation).
5. Marketing
Where you have opted in, or where the law otherwise permits, we may send you updates about our Services. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails, by replying to ask us to stop, or by contacting us directly. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service messages about your account.
6. Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run our business, and only as far as needed:
- Payment processing: CCBill, LLC.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our platform.
- Customer relationship, email, and SMS providers we use to manage enquiries and communications.
- Analytics providers that help us understand Website usage.
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law, regulation, or legal process.
We require these providers to protect your information and to use it only for the purposes we specify.
7. International Transfers
Automate Horizon is based in the United States, and some of our providers are located outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, so your information remains protected.
8. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this Policy, including to provide the Services, comply with our legal, accounting, and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymise it.
9. How We Protect Your Information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. More detail on our infrastructure and security practices is available on our Security & Compliance page.
10. Your Rights (UK and EU)
If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Ask us to erase your information in certain circumstances.
- Restrict or object to how we use your information.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
11. Your Rights (United States)
Depending on your state, US privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and comparable laws in states including Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut, may give you the right to know what personal information we collect, to access or delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information. You can exercise these rights, including any opt out, by contacting us below or through the controls described in our Cookie Policy. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
12. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies on the Website. Strictly necessary cookies are always active, and non-essential cookies are used only with your consent. For full details and to manage your choices, see our Cookie Policy.
13. Age Restriction
Our Website and Services are intended for adults aged 18 or over and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
14. Third-Party Links
Our Website may link to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Where changes are material, we will take additional steps to notify you where the law requires it.
